Rearing Your Labrador Puppy
Labradors are active, intelligent strong dogs and they need lots of attention and regular exercise. The average weight of an adult labrador is between 30 to 40 kg; bitches are usually lighter than dogs but they can be equally as strong.
People love Labradors because Labradors love people. Labradors love to be around people, but they can become destructive if left alone for long periods of time, for example if their owners go to work. If you work full time even if you can get home at lunch time, it will take a lot of dedication to be able to give a labrador the time and stimulation he needs and deserves. Labradors need regular exercise so if you are unable or unwilling to take you dog out for his regular walks day in day out whatever the weather a labrador is not the dog for you.
